Operating temperature for PVC strip curtains

The operating temperature for standard PVC strip curtains is from -5°C to +60°C. At lower temperatures, these tapes can harden and lose their effectiveness. In openings of industrial refrigerators, cold rooms or unheated outdoor barrels, we recommend using cold-resistant PVC curtains with an operating temperature of -30 °C to +50 °C. At low temperatures, these tapes remain more elastic and retain their properties.

When PVC strips are attached to the opening, we subtract 45 mm from the actual height of the opening when calculating the height of the opening, as this is how much the PVC strip holder goes down into the opening, so the width of the opening remains the same as the actual. When fixing the slats above the opening, we add an extra 30 mm to the actual height of the opening so that the strip holder is fixed slightly above the edge of the beam.

To ensure the tightness, we calculate the width of the opening slightly larger than the actual width of the opening is (for 200 mm x 2 mm strips, an additional 80 mm; for 300 mm x 3 mm strips – 90 mm; for 400 mm x 4 mm strips – 100 mm).
